I still say cross bows would be a good idea to have. Hey they already have ballista in the game why not cross bows?

I use dwarven kegs against enemies. They work
A knock down and the enemys burn for 2 seconds or something. I like the knock down.

Hmmm the Romans used huge artillary, and the Greeks had explosive 'jugs' of 'Greek fire', but gunpowder based weaponry didnt appear untill a long time after.
Anyway my point is that 'trebuchets flinging bombs' isnt a sign of gunpowder.
And no, GW should not have guns, in any form. Beyond the difficulties of balancing the offencive effectiveness, I cannot see how skills doing other 'things' could possibly be justified.
Spin your musket really fast to recieve health regen?
Poke a warrior in the eye with the rod you use to pack the musket ball with to blind him?
Hmmmm.
What happens if you come up against a fire ele? Instant death?
Your idea just doesnt 'fit' well with GW as a whole.

Something similar I have read on Urban Dead - a rule against this kind of speaking.
[QUOTE]ZOMG!!11! y shod it nt hav big fier brehting bats? it haz zombsi n they dun eggcist, nubz0rz - LOL NO0BS[QUOTE]
I admit you don't speak like that - but the principle is the same. Guild Wars is a game where magic is possible, and you can charm pets etc etc - that is, it is set in a world where that is possible. That doesn't mean that sniper scopes/giant fire breathing bats with AKs exist there.
Sorry for gravedigging this thread - fresh corpse from only this morning, though, and I wanted to say that
